Agriculture Day at Dills Tavern

Saturday, September 14th from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
at Dill’s Tavern & Plantation

Join us for the Third Annual Ag Day at Dill’s Tavern and Plantation. This year we will be dressing two hogs and making scrapple and sausage, which will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. We will also be cutting cabbage for sauerkraut and packing it in jars, which will be ready for the table in six weeks. You can even try your hand at wheat flailing!  Cider and griller sandwiches will be available to please your palate. Some of the pork and kraut will be reserved for the Pork and Sauerkraut Dinner to be held later in the fall at the Maple Shade Barn. Come and see how our ancestors prepared some of their staples for the long winter.
